Clydesdale arrives at her retirement home!

Gem, the Clydesdale Mare arrived at Tweddle Farm in December. She's been brought here to retire - to enjoy doing nothing for the rest of her life - apart from meet the children, of course.  She's 20 years old and is a lovely, gentle lady.  She's been a brood mare all of her life and has had lots of babies!  Now she's going to rest and enjoy being fussed over.

Gem is settling in at the moment and is getting used to her new home - she'll be out in the paddocks in the Spring when it's a bit warmer.

The photo shows her meeting one of her new friends, Twinkle the Shetland Pony.

Farewell to our Swedish Rail Car

We'd like to wish a fond farewell to our 'Swedish Rail Car'.

It's leaving us today (21/11/11) for pastures new to go into service again.

It's new home is the Nene Valley Railway, Wansford Station, Peterborough and it begins work again Easter 2012.

A dedicated team have worked on the train over the summer and have brought it back to life again.
